How To Stop It Persistantly Raining On You With Persistance And Self Confidence

Have you ever wondered how people manage, with self confidence, to reach the top despite having what seems like huge mountains to climb?

What keeps the tough going when the going gets tough?

What makes people crawl through broken bottles and razor blades, with great self confidence and belief, to achieve their ultimate desire?

I’m reminded of a fable that I once heard.

A man, clearly wanting to achieve success, approaches a success and motivation guru.

“Please sir, can you point me in the direction of success?” the man asks.

The guru says nothing but points in the direction he should head. The man heads off with all the self confidence in the world but soon a loud “splat” is heard. The man returns to the guru covered in mud and soaking wet.

“Please sir, can you point me in the direction of success?” the man asks again, sounding a little annoyed.

The guru still says nothing and points in the same direction as before. The man heads off back in the same direction with slightly less self confidence and soon an even louder “splat” is heard. The man returns, now sporting many cuts and bruises.

Angrily he approaches the guru shouting. “Enough of this nonsense, this time you must speak and tell me the direction of success!!”

The guru smiles and says. “It is that way” pointing in the same direction as the previous two occasions. “Just beyond ‘splat’.”

The obvious point the guru was trying to make was to keep going. Despite all the hassles and obstacles that lie before you, it requires persistence, self confidence and dogged determination to reach your dreams and achieve success.

There are hardly any success stories where somebody has breezed all the way to the top in their chosen field. So many people have had to overcome enormous set backs to reach the pinnacle of their particular mountain; people that have experienced financial ruin, health problems or perhaps the disapproving gaze of the doubting public. These highly driven people break down their barriers with much self confidence and dedication to achieve what they desire.

Every Olympic athlete will lose races, particularly at the beginning of their career.

Disappointed they may be, but they analyse the race, discover where they could have done things differently, for the better, and try harder in the next race, putting that new found experience into all of their efforts. With self confidence and a total belief they compete again. They don’t give up until they get right to the top, the very top. Then they can marvel at the view.

Whenever starting on a new adventure you will always, quite rightly, look for the pitfalls. And when these pitfalls arrive hopefully you will have a plan to overcome them. However, with the best will in the world, you will not be able to predict every obstacle that will arise. At this point you need the self confidence, determination and possibly a little imagination to get past the unforeseen. If you truly want something, no mountain is too high to climb.

Climb every mountain, ford every stream, follow every rainbow until you find your dream.

Fortune favours the bold. Be brave and dedicated and with self confidence you will achieve your particular success.
